This morning, she set out peanuts, walnuts, and sunflower seeds. I was a bit puzzled when she started doing this, because I was hoping that she didn’t want me to eat that stuff. Luckily, she opened a can of stinky goodness for me.

When I got done eating, she let the hoodlums kittens out of the basement where they spent the night. The kittens and I are beginning to come to an understanding. I don’t like being ambushed, and I have been hinting that there WILL BE CONSEQUENCES if they don’t knock it off.

While the hoodlums kittens were eating, I ambled over to the big tall window and noticed that a squirrel had just showed up. I studied the squirrel intently, and then two more squirrels and a bunch of tasty looking tiny birds arrived as well. Mmm… birds…

Technically, according to my adoption papers, I am supposed to be an indoor only cat. I wonder if there would be any way to get the lady to start feeding the squirrels indoors…

Day Three http://thefurrybambinos.com/mr-silvers-posts/day-three http://thefurrybambinos.com/mr-silvers-posts/day-three#respond Thu, 25 Oct 2007 20:53:24 +0000 http://thefurrybambinos.com/silver/day-three/ Well, the servants man and lady left us all alone again yesterday. I have no idea where they went, but they this did this on Tuesday, too. After a long time they showed back up, so I wasn’t too worried.

I hung out upstairs and looked out the window in the room where they sleep. After awhile, that got dull, so I jumped down and looked around for something to do.

I wandered into the room that they call “The Mohawk Shrine”. Apparently “Mohawk” is another former resident who has also gone to The Rainbow Bridge.

Cool! The computer was still on, in sleep mode. So I jumped on the desk and attacked the mouse to wake up the computer. I surfed the web for awhile, and discovered that there are lots of other kitties who like to blog, too. I bookmarked a bunch of cool blogs to read regularly. I am so glad I took that blogging class while I was at the college for cats.

Then I got sleepy, so I went to take a nap downstairs.

As usual, I did my best “happy to see you again” song and dance when the man and lady got back from wherever they went all day. When the lady went upstairs, she noticed that the computer was awake. She mentioned something to the man about not understanding why the computer was awake because she did not use it that morning.

D’oh! Forgot to set the computer back into sleep mode… Gotta be more careful next time…

A New Forever Home http://thefurrybambinos.com/gotcha-day/welcome-to-your-forever-home http://thefurrybambinos.com/gotcha-day/welcome-to-your-forever-home#respond Wed, 24 Oct 2007 02:31:38 +0000 http://thefurrybambinos.com/?p=3 Hello world!  I’m finally settled!

Yesterday, I moved into my new forever home.  It seems to be a nice place, but I haven’t fully investigated it yet.

The servants who run it keep saying “you look just like Clyde!”  I finally figured out that “Clyde” was a previous resident who went to The Rainbow Bridge earlier this year.

I came to this new home in a roundabout way.  My previous ‘forever home’ turned out to be not-so-forever.  It wasn’t nice of them to remove my necktie and just leave me outside on someone’s doorstep!  Humans … will they ever learn? Next, I wound up in some sort of animal prison for awhile. I got rescued from prison “in the nick of time” to someone who called herself my “Foster Mom” and who kept rambling on about my PAWS.  She kept me in the basement for a few days while I just chilled out.

My Foster Mom took me to a brightly lit place that was rather small and restrictive for my rather large body.  I think it was a college for intelligent cats like myself because it was called PetSmart.  I was happy to have two rooms to spread out in, but the windows were rather annoying, and the neighbors were rather rambunctious.  Small humans would frequently tap on the window, too.  Jeez, it was hard to sleep!

Eventually, a nice man and woman came to play with me.  I thought “they’ll do”, and decided to choose them as my new servants.  So here I am.

Turns out a couple of young hoodlums also chose these servants at the same time.  I thought I’d have my own blog to report from, but apparently not.  The servants have indicated that I’ve got to share this space with Mr. Tuxedo and Ms. Brown-Tabby (they haven’t told me their names yet, and I’m content to keep to myself for now).  Oh, the bother.

I haven’t told the servants my name yet, but they’ll discover it soon enough.  For now, they’re calling me “Silver”.   More soon as things develop.
