Staring Contest – The Furry Bambinos – Cleveland http://thefurrybambinos.com Sat, 24 Jul 2010 20:59:53 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.7.1 Paranoid Parents http://thefurrybambinos.com/panda-bears-posts/paranoid-parents http://thefurrybambinos.com/panda-bears-posts/paranoid-parents#comments Sat, 24 Jul 2010 20:48:24 +0000 http://thefurrybambinos.com/?p=1227 There is now a web site called “How to Tell if Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You“.  Unfortunately, our neurotic parental unit stumbled onto this site.  They are now paranoid that we are trying to orchestrate their demise.

::sigh::

Yes, I like to knead on Mom’s squishy belleh and get me some good lap action.

Yes, Meerkat is an expert at staring contests.

Yes, I paw at Mom’s head while she sleeps.

Yes, we hunt for mousies to offer as gifts.

So when Mom took this quiz she FREAKED OUT when she saw the results:

Is your cat plotting to kill you?

Seriously doods, why would I want to kill the Can Opener Lady or the Pooper Scooper Man?  It’s just not in our best interest.

Whatever you do, don’t let your parents take the quiz!

I Won the Staring Contest http://thefurrybambinos.com/meerkats-posts/i-won-the-staring-contest http://thefurrybambinos.com/meerkats-posts/i-won-the-staring-contest#comments Sat, 06 Feb 2010 13:55:36 +0000 http://thefurrybambinos.com/?p=985 On Thursday morning, my biological brother, Panda Bear, challenged me to a staring contest.  Panda has been in a mood recently, picking fights, mounting Caramel until she squeaks, and chasing me around the house.  (Yes, PB has been nootered, and Caramel has been spayed, but PB keeps climbing on top of her and biting her neck.  Gross.)

So when Panda Bear challenged me to a staring contest, I said,

Bring it on!

We got started in the living room.

After awhile, Panda Bear started caterwauling at me to try to intimidate me.  Even though he weighs about two pounds more than me, I know I can give him the smackdown.

So I kept on staring.

Next Panda Bear added the “paw lift” maneuver.  You know the one.  PB continued staring and caterwauling at me, and then lifted his right front paw off the floor and waved it around, in a feeble attempt to appear menacing.

I kept right on staring.

Eventually Panda Bear gave in, and turned away to blink.

I WON!

Some of you may think it was an unfair fight, what with Panda Bear having only one eye and all.  But I had to keep TWO eyes open while he only had to keep ONE eye open.
