So far there is an extremely high correlation between Mom and Dad using the Rug-Sucking Monster and then visitors showing up. So we should have expected that after Mom and Dad dragged the Rug-Sucking Monster all over the downstairs yesterday morning, that we would be having visitors soon.
Mommy also gave us our pedicures yesterday morning. Daddy and Mommy put more of the Christmas nail cover thingys on Meerkat’s and my toe nails, to replace the ones that we managed to remove that fell off all by themselves.
Around lunch time yesterday, Mom and Dad went out. When they came back, they brought some visitors with them: Miss Edie, Mr. Scott, and their Sticky Little People, David and Jane.
Now, I have read about Sticky Little People on other cats’ blogs. So, I was a bit nervous about meeting them in person. I did not want them petting me funny or grabbing my tail. I was also a bit miffed that Mom and Dad did not consult The Furry Bambinos before permitting the Sticky Little People into the house for a visit.
Anyway, the Sticky Little People freaked me out initially. David walked around on his hind legs, and Jane sometimes walked on her hind legs, and sometimes on all fours. Jane was very interested in our water fountain and food dishes, but Miss Edie and Mr. Scott kept an eye on Jane and didn’t let her steal any of our food or water.
After awhile, David decided to play with us. He took the neato pink boa feather toy and waved it around and ran around and laughed and squealed a lot. It was fun to chase David and the neato pink boa feather toy. David sure knows how to play!! And he doesn’t get tired as quickly as Daddy and Mommy do.
Apparently, there is a cat-kitty named Fiowwwwnnnnna who lives with David, so I guess that is why he was so good at playing with us. Meerkat and I had a great time chasing the neato pink boa feather toy, and Padre even got into it too.
When it was time for them to leave, David was having such a good time that he had to be carried out of the house, while kicking and screaming that he wanted to stay.
Padre, Meerkat, and I were worn out by the time Mr. Scott, Miss Edie, David, and Jane left. Mommy fed us our supper, and then I curled up in a ball on Mommy’s chair and went to sleep! Meerkat and Padre took power cat naps too.
For Sticky Little People, I have to say that I was totally and pleasantly surprised at how much fun they could be. Mr. Scott and Miss Edie must be very good human parents. If David and Jane are as much fun as they were yesterday, then they can come back anytime for more play dates!
