Tammy Faye, Heaven’s Newest Angel

Oh, our hearts are aching, and our eyes are leaking as we write this.

We just got the sad, sad news that Tammy Faye passed away on Friday, from heart failure.

Tammy Faye’s family is devastated.

As you may know, Mom and Dad are good friends with Tammy Faye’s fambly.  Aunt Deb is our regular kitteh sitter. Mom and Dad visited Miss Tammy Faye when her fambly was away.

Miss Tammy Faye liked our Mom …

… but she had a major crush on our Dad.

This is one of our favorite photos of Tammy Faye. She and our Dad were making eyes at each other.

Tammy Faye’s family really needs your purrs right now.

Please leave your condolences for Tammy Faye’s fambly here.

Tammy Faye, you will be missed!

Please save a sunspot for us at The Bridge.

Purrrrsss …

  2. Losing a pet is almost harder than losing a human. Unlike the human loss where other humans flock to your side to offer condolence, losing a pet is a sorrow too often suffered alone. From the response shown here, this does not appear to be the case with Tammy Faye. I don’t believe I ever had the pleasure to meet her but it’s obvious many will miss her and along with them, Linda & I offer our sympathies and hope that you find peace in the many happy memories that remain.

  3. Thanks all! When she came home from the “kitty cardiologist” after a dose of terbutaline she was her old self for the evening –ate and drank like crazy, played and was affectionate, watched the yard for birdies –who could know that in just a few short hours she would be dead!

  4. Dear Debra, Paul and Tim,

I am so sorry to receive the sad news of the death of your precious kitty, Tammy Faye, on Sunday. That is very hard. I am sending condolences. I remember how sad I was when my Sheltie, Sandy died in 2008. I missed him terribly and appreciated every expression of sympathy. Cousin Johnny in Colorado sent a nice note at that time. He and MF had lost one of their Corgis previously, so they understood how difficult it is to get along without that beloved pet. I know that you two have many resources in Cleveland to share your grief with. Be brave! and reach out to fellow pet-lovers.

Your loving MOM in Oregon. XOXOXO (to Tim too)

  5. Please extend my condolences to Tammy Faye’s family on their loss. Perhaps our George greeted her at the Rainbow Bridge. He went there on June 17, 2010 – almost 17 years old. He had a tumour in his face that was finally causing such discomfort that it was his time.

  6. We’re so sorry to hear about Sweet Tammy Faye. Sending purrs to all of you and hoping that she’s running and playing and meeting all of the nice kitties at the Bridge, while she waits for her family there.

    Charlemagne and Tamar
