Greetings, furriends. We here at Casa Furry Bambino really appreciate all the support, kind words, purrs, and gentle nosetaps and headbutts that you have sent to Aunt Deb and her fambly. Losing a loved one is always extremely difficult. Your kindness, compassion, and empathy is truly appreciated. The Cat Blogosphere is an amazing group! Thank you all so very much. Aunt Deb and Uncle Paul are grateful for your thoughts and purrs.

Tammy Faye was like a cousin to us, since her Mom is our Aunt Deb. Special thanks go to KC for this beautiful graphic that was posted on the Cat Blogosphere site.

Aunt Deb came over to visit us on Friday.  We gave her lots of Bambino lovin’.  I purrsonally made sure to make Aunt Deb feel welcome.  I guess you could say that of all The Furry Bambinos, I am the Cat Ambassador.  I like to greet fambly, friends, and air conditioner technicians.  I always come to the door to say hello.

Aunt Deb also visited with The Itteh Bittehs, our current crop of fosters.  She said that the feline therapy helped.  In case you need kitten therapy, here are some recent photos of The Itteh Bittehs.

Itteh Bitteh Boo on back of big chair in living room.  (Hmmpf!  Doesn’t she know that’s my spot?)

Get ready to SQUEEE!!!  Itteh Bitteh Boo Belleh!

We hope that you enjoyed the photos of The Itteh Bittehs!  Next time, we will tell you all about the medical ups and downs in the lives of Itteh Bitteh kittehs!

The past few weeks have been busy and stressful here at Casa Furry Bambino, but that’s another blog post.

Today, I want to purrsonally thank all of you who voted for me in the rounds of Kitty Fight Club.  I appreciate your votes and kind words of support.  There were some very tough competitors that I faced, including Scylla, Asia, Snafu, and Sweet Pea.  Congratulations to Sweet Pea!  Like all of the kittehs in the competition, she is really adorable, and I am glad that she won.   All of the kittehs who competed are cute and adorable and sweet in their own way.

I want to thank Mommy and Daddy who emailed lots of family members and friends to ask for their votes.  Daddy even posted about me on his facebook thingy!  Mommy and Daddy love me, and they love all the Furry Bambinos.

A big Thank You to all of Mommy and Daddy’s relatives and friends who took the time to vote!  Thanks to those of you who didn’t think it was too dorky to vote for a kitteh in a photo contest.

As readers of our blog know, my sister Caramel and I are what is known as “Failed Fosters”.  That means that we started out as foster kittehs, with the original intent of being adopted to a loving family through the Public Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS, here in Northeast O-Hi-O.  After hanging out here for several months, getting schlepped to several adoption events, having an adoption application put in for me, and then retracted (thank goodness!), Mommy and Daddy decided to adopt Caramel and me themselves.  This is probably the single best thing in the world at which to be a failure.

Because of our family’s continued involvement with PAWS, foster kittehs come and go here at Casa Furry Bambino.  Daisy, Bo, and Luke are now in their furrever homes!  The director of PAWS emailed all the PAWS volunteers to ask for their support for me in Kitty Fight Club!  A big thank you to Amy and to all of the PAWS volunteers for the work they do, and for voting for me!

Last, but not least, thank you to all my blogging friends!  At times like this, when I’m feeling a little down and sorry for myself, I remember all the good in the world, and all the good in the Cat Blogosphere.

Thank you to all my family and friends that voted for me in Kitty Fight Club! I won in my first round of competition against my super cute adorable opponent Scylla of Alasandra, the Cats, and a Dog. I think that Scylla is absolutely adorabubble.

My next competition begins on Thursday, May 13 over at Misha’s blog, The World According to Misha.  My opponent is another real cutie, Asia of Pet Meadow.

We are very sorry that we have not posted or been able to visit and comment recently.  We really miss you!  We want to know what is going on in your lives.  There are several reasons for this, some of which have been beyond our control.

1) Our Internet connection has been SLOOW SLOOOOW SLOOOOOOW for the past several weeks.  Some days, it is just fine, but at other times, it is too slow to load pages without timing out.

2) Mommy and Daddy are both very busy lately.  Daddy is working for the Census Bureau.  The phone keeps ringing, and Daddy keeps running out the door.  Daddy supervises a team of 21 humans who go door to door to collect information about the people who did not return their census forms.

3-5) Reason Numbers 3 – 5.

Daisy

Bo

and Luke

AKA “The Dukes of PAWS”.

Yep, more fosters!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

Hi Efurryone!  Thank you all so much for all the Birthday Wishes!  Caramel and I had a great time at our “Coming-Out Party” with all of you to help us celebrate! It was great to see friends we knew, as well as to meet new friends! Plus, with all the comments we received, we were able to make a nice donation to the Humane Society of the United States!!

We decided to have a contest for a Gift Certificate to The Animal Rescue Site store! Since Caramel and I both celebrated our birthdays, we decided that each of us should choose a winner.

We typed all of your names onto a piece of paper, and then Panda Bear “assisted” with trimming the paper into individual pieces for each name.

Then, we put the little pieces of paper into a special bowl (Mom says it is handmade by a very special friend).  Padre inspected the names in the bowl to make sure they all were in there.

Padre said that the names passed his inspection, and it was time to draw the winners!

I really didn’t want all that responsibility, so I let Panda Bear choose my name for me.

Panda Bear carefully considered his options.

Finally, Panda Bear selected the first winner!

And the winner is … Noll from Noll’s Nip!

Caramel wanted to select her own winner. She studied the bowl of names.

But she actually drew two names, so to be fair, we are giving gift certificates to both A Few Good Cats at It’s All Good and Tiki and Kirby!

Hooray for all the winners!

And as promised, Mom is making a donation to the Humane Society of the United States in our honor!

On our four birthday blog posts, we received a total of:

30 + 9 + 11 + 14 =

Umm …  Ahhh …

A really big number of comments!  So Mom will be making a donation to the HSUS of $A Really Big Number. What’s that Mom?

Mom said that she decided to round up to $100.00!  Thanks Mom!! The Humane Society will put our gift to good use “to protect not only America’s most beloved companion animals—dogs and cats—but also other pets, wildlife, farm animals, and animals in research” (from our Thank You from HSUS).

We received an award from Monty Graycat, so we will post about that next time! Thanks Monty!

And thanks again to all of you who helped make our first birthday so special!

Hello efurryone!  It is me, Cookie, here to give you an update about events at Casa Furry Bambino.

We are very very excited to note that Caramel and I are both Finalists in Huffle Mawson’s Cat-O-Lympics event of Competitive Napping!  We are so delighted to be honored in this way!  Congratulations to all of the Finalists! In addition to being Finalists, Huffle Mawson created this swell badge for us to display forever and ever on our bloggie!

In other, equally exciting news, Caramel and I have a Birthday approaching!  On Wednesday, March 3, Caramel and I will be (imagine Fanfare Music here):

One Year Old!

Well, I mean each of us will be one year old, so does that mean that together we will be two years old?  Hmm … now I’m a little confused.  Maybe what I should say instead is that Next Wednesday, March 3, is our Birthday!

Well, I guess what I really mean to say is

Party! Partee! Par-tay!

Where: Casa Furry Bambino

When: Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Caramel: pssst … Cookie, remember what I asked you to mention?

Right, right! Caramel wants me to remind you that it is our Coming Out Party, as we will be Official Young Lady Cats!

Caramel, where is it that we are coming out?

Thanks to all of you who commented on our last post!  Panda Bear said to tell you that he really does not mind the cold on his footies, and that he LOVES to go outside whenever he can sneak out.

In other news, a few weeks ago, our house was invaded.

By Sticky Little People.

Exhibit A.

Exhibit B.

The Big People are good friends of Mom and Dad.  The Sticky Little Girl is Mom and Dad’s God-Daughter.  Isn’t she adorable?  They came to visit a few weeks ago.

Padre made himself completely scarce and hid upstairs for the duration of their visit invasion.

So did Meerkat.

Panda Bear tried to act all cool, but he kept a safe distance.  He studied the train set when the Sticky Little People were in another room.

And my sister Caramel and I got the Sticky Little People all to ourselves!  The Boy was very fun to play with.

The Boy played Feather Toy with Caramel.  She grabbed the Feather Toy in her mouth and walked off, leading The Boy!

The Boy laughed and jumped up and down a lot when Caramel grabbed the Feather Toy.

The Girl was sweet and giggled a lot, but she mostly stayed near her humans.

The Boy even knew how to play with the trackball toy!

He also showed me how to play with the train set!  That was a lot of fun!

The train moves, so I tried to touch it!

The Boy even climbed inside our Kalahari cubes!  He was so much fun to play with!

I hope they come back to visit again soon!

Howdee everyone!  I have been watching “the Apostles” very closely.  They are becoming very tricky.  As they get bigger and bigger, they find it easier and easier to escape their little blockade.  In facts, they have become so good, Mom and Dad caught them on video for us.

Watch how Luke (grey) and Matthew (black) show that nothing can stop them from escaping!  I love to watch them through the fence.  I have learned many new tricks from them that I will work on implementing soon.

By the way, all the movies produced by “The Furry Bambinos” are now available on YouTube.  Click to see our new YouTube channel! I’m not in any of the movies yet, but I hope to be soon!
