Happy New Year Efurrybuddy! The Furry Bambinos and I (Caramel, AKA Ms. Floofs) received a terrific package from our furriends DaisyMae Maus, Charmee, and Sparky Fuzzypants all the way across the country in sunny Catifornia!! Thank you so much DaisyMae, Charmee, and Sparky!!  Here I am sniffing the package.

Panda Bear dived inside once Dad got the package opened.

Panda Bear opened the card and read it to us.

Look at all the wonderful presents!

Sunny sniffed the presents in the pretty blue wrapping paper.

Panda Bear is REALLY into nip!

He’s even licking nip flakes off the lid!

When Panda Bear gets really excited, he claws the carpet with gusto! That’s the effect nip has on him.

My sister Cookie sniffed the cute little mousies! We have been carrying those around and practicing our Mouse Patrol techniques with them!

We loves Temptations! Thanks for sending us Fishy Flavors! Meerkat is asking for more. Nom nom nom …

Thank you so much for sending us The Red Dot Maker! It is the one toy that gets all of us moving! Meerkat is stretching out to smack The Red Dot.

Mom put all the presents on the table and took a photo of them all together! We can’t wait for Mom to start that cat grass growing! We ate the Purina One Turkey yesterday! Mom loves the dove pin, jingle bells, and the yummy chocolates! What a generous gift!

Meerkat claimed the box! (The rest of us are a little too “well-endowed” to fit inside the box.)

Even Senior Catizen Padre got off his Gizzy Quilt to join in and play The Red Dot! Padre says Thank You!

My sister Cookie is really into wrapping paper. She likes to lie on it, play with it, and nap on it. Cookie says Thank You!

Sky says Thank You! (Especially for the Temptations.)

Sunny says Thank You!

Panda Bear says Thank You! (Especially for the Nip!!!)

On behalf of The Furry Bambinos, I say Thank You!!!

What a terrific present!!!

A huge Thank You to Mom Paula, Truffle, and Brulee for coordinating Secret Paws!!!

Today is our Mommy’s Birthday! We are happy that it is on a Saturday, so we get extra snuggle time with her today. She was surprised to see her birthday announced on the Cat Blogosphere! She says thank you for all the kind birthday wishes. She just got off the phone with Gramma. Mom always calls Gramma at the time Mom was born to wish her mother a Happy Mother’s Day.

We haven’t been able to blog much lately. That’s because the computer has been overheating and shutting down randomly. So Daddy performed surgery on it. This is what he pulled out.

A furball! The computer hacked up a furball! An impressive one, if I do say so myself.

In other news, I have always thought that Cookie is a bit daft when it comes to The Rug Sucking Monster. She is not afraid of it! When it comes out, most of us go running the other direction. Clyde, One Who Came Before, would hiss at it even before it got turned on. Then he would run to the farthest corner of the house to get away from it. But not Cookie.

Watch the movie and see what I mean.

Crazy, I tell you! That Cookie is bat sh*t crazy! What do you do when The Rug Sucking Monster comes out?

Hello Furriends! First, a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have commented on our Birthday Post! We appreciate your kind words and for helping us to celebrate our first birthday and comment-a-thon to benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL)! We want to extend Very Special Thanks to Momo, to Asta, to Khyra, and to The Cat Blogosphere who helped to spread the word about our birthday. You really rounded up furriends who showed their support! Thanks to all of you who commented, attended the party, and brought nip and cake!

We started our Birthday by hunting together.

Sunny patted this little guy a few times to see what he would do.

He just kept inching his way across the carpet while we watched.

He took so long to get anywhere that we sat down and got comfortable.

Mommy picked up our inchworm prey friend and let him loose outside. Bye, Birthday Bug! (Click to biggify.)

Next, we shared some cereal milk from Mommy’s cereal dish.

Even Panda Bear enjoyed some cereal milk.

Panda Bear is the one who taught us about cereal milk!

I had some crunchies after the milk.

Our big birthday present was for dinner: Real Live Fresh Dead Chicken Boobs!

Daddy cut it up for us to share with the other Furry Bambinos.

Sunny says, “Hurry, cut faster!”

I said, “I’m hungry!”

Finally, all cut up!

Mmm mmm good!!

Yum yum yum!

Panda Bear enjoyed the RLFDCB!

So did Padre!

Miss Floofs (Caramel) sneaked some RLFDCB from my dish while Mommy was serving …

So, Sunny and I ate the leftovers from Caramel’s and Cookie’s dishes!

Mommy will be making a donation of approximately $100 to the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL). In addition, Mommy works for a company that matches donations, so that means the Cleveland APL will get $200 total!!! The Cleveland APL is a nonprofit humane society located in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to providing shelter to cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies waiting to be adopted, the Cleveland APL also provides low cost spay and neuter services, as well as sponsoring a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) program for feral cats in the Cleveland area. It is where most PAWS kitties, including us, have their ladygardenectomy or hoohaectomy surgery done.

Thank you efurryone!!!

Hi furriends! Thanks for helping us celebrate our birthdays! We would like to say a Special Thank You to Jan’s Funny Farmers for sending some of you our way! That was very thoughtful of you!

Meerkat and I appreciate your kind birthday wishes, and the Cleveland APL appreciates your comments for a donation. Mommy’s day hunting place matches donations, so your comments are worth double! Thanks efurrybuddy!

We have some great news! Recent Furry Bambino Foster Academy Students Lilia …

… and Vitaly …

… GRADUATED on Saturday May 14! They were adopted TOGETHER!!!  (The kittens do have more than one water dish!)

:: Happy Adoption-Graduation Dance::

That’s their Forever Mom with Vitaly.  Those kittens LOVE shoelaces! Vitaly even wore a Graduation Cup!  He told me he wrote “Hi Mom” on the top. Heh.

Lilia and Vitaly are Lynx point Siamese kittens – which means that they have tiger stripes!  Mom thought that Vitaly’s stripes on his head made him look like he was furrowing his eyebrows, deep in thought.

Lilia and Vitaly both climbed up Mom recently – they weren’t named for famous gymnasts for nothing. Can you guess which is Lilia and which is Vitaly?  Mom’s not entirely sure, herself! Vitaly is darker brown on his back, and bigger than Lilia. Lilia is more of a white cream color, and daintier. Answers to the last names of the famous gymnasts below.

Vitaly licked his Forever Mom’s face to say hello.

Lilia posed with Dad to say Farewell.

Next time, how Mom and Dad spent our birthday – no, it wasn’t with us!

Famous Namesake Gymnasts:

Nadia Comaneci
Bart Conner
Lilia Podkopayeva
Vitaly Scherbo

P.S. Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner are married in real life.

Greetings, furriends! Padre here, Birthday Boy! Happy Earth Day to all of you!

First off, I want to purrsonally fank you all for your purrs and words of encouragement after my dental surgery a few weeks ago. My mouf has healed up nicely, and I have my crunchies back!

As Headmaster (and because it’s my Birthday), we thought that it would be apropos for me to welcome all of you to Open House at Furry Bambino Foster Academy! Please help yourself to food, treats, and beverages!

As regular readers know, Mom and Dad volunteer for a local animal rescue group, PAWS Ohio. PAWS does not have a traditional animal shelter. Instead, PAWS is a network of volunteers who foster kittehs and woofies in their own homes.

Mom and Dad started fostering kittehs for PAWS two Kitten Seasons ago. Their first attempt at fostering resulted in Cookie and Caramel joining our fambly! Heh heh. Their most recent “failed fosters” are Sunny and Sky. But I digress.

Click here to go to the Furry Bambino Foster Academy home page. From the FBFA home page, you can:

Take a virtual tour of our Campus!

See what Courses we offer!

See Yearbook Photos and read bios of Faculty and Staff!

See Yearbook Photos and read bios of FBFA Graduates!

School is now in session! Here is a sneak peek at our current students. Meet The Gymnasts: Nadia, Lilia, Bart, and Vitaly:

Please help yourself to the treats! We hope that you enjoy your visit to Furry Bambino Foster Academy!

May you have a Blessed Easter and/or Passover.

We want to send purrs and purrayers to all the inhabitants of Japan in this very sad and scary time. We just feel so helpless seeing the photos and videos of the devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami. It is sobering to realize that the aftershocks from the main quake are as large as severe earthquakes themselves. The Cat Blogosphere site has suggestions of ways to help, and we are planning to make a donation.

My sister Floofs (Caramel) and I (Cookie) would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you fur coming to our birthday party last week! We really appreciate all your birthday wishes, getting to visit with you, and especially for sharing some of your loose furs with us! We are also making the rounds to visit each of your blogs purrsonally.

As you may recall, Mommy and Daddy had recently dragged the rug sucking monsters around, and removed all our furs from our cat trees. So we decided that the theme for our party would be shedding. Thanks to all of you, we now have furry cat trees again!

Thanks for helping us put the Furry back in The Furry Bambinos!

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves! We got some more Temptations treats to share.

We also received some new nip mousies.

Floofs (Caramel) is giving the new mousies a good sniff.

Panda Bear and Floofs are playing with a nip mousie that looks like a bumble bee. Floofs is doing her signature tag maneuver.

Nip mousies are great!

In other news, we had another big snow storm on Thursday night and Friday – the most snow we have had this season. Before this snow storm, all of our previous snow had meltified due to heavy rains. So all the snow you see in the photo below is just from Thursday night and Friday. We got about 15 inches here. Mommy stayed home and worked from home on Friday.

My sister Floofs and Panda Bear are taking a deep sniff of the cold fresh air. We are looking forward to warmer weather when we can have the windows open.

Next time, we will pick up where we left off telling you about Mama Rose’s bebbehs – and some adoption stories!

Greetings, furriends. We here at Casa Furry Bambino really appreciate all the support, kind words, purrs, and gentle nosetaps and headbutts that you have sent to Aunt Deb and her fambly. Losing a loved one is always extremely difficult. Your kindness, compassion, and empathy is truly appreciated. The Cat Blogosphere is an amazing group! Thank you all so very much. Aunt Deb and Uncle Paul are grateful for your thoughts and purrs.

Tammy Faye was like a cousin to us, since her Mom is our Aunt Deb. Special thanks go to KC for this beautiful graphic that was posted on the Cat Blogosphere site.

Aunt Deb came over to visit us on Friday.  We gave her lots of Bambino lovin’.  I purrsonally made sure to make Aunt Deb feel welcome.  I guess you could say that of all The Furry Bambinos, I am the Cat Ambassador.  I like to greet fambly, friends, and air conditioner technicians.  I always come to the door to say hello.

Aunt Deb also visited with The Itteh Bittehs, our current crop of fosters.  She said that the feline therapy helped.  In case you need kitten therapy, here are some recent photos of The Itteh Bittehs.

Itteh Bitteh Boo on back of big chair in living room.  (Hmmpf!  Doesn’t she know that’s my spot?)

Itteh Bitteh Shadow close-up.

Shadow practicing for the World Cup.

Get ready to SQUEEE!!!  Itteh Bitteh Boo Belleh!

Itteh Bitteh Shadow Bunneh!

We hope that you enjoyed the photos of The Itteh Bittehs!  Next time, we will tell you all about the medical ups and downs in the lives of Itteh Bitteh kittehs!
