Padre

I'm somewhere around 4 or 5 years old. My previous humans removed my front claws and left me on the doorstep of a feline doctor. The nice lady at PAWS took me in for a couple of weeks and praised my docile and friendly nature. Luckily, these other people fell in love with me and brought me to my forever home. They say I look so much like their previous cat, and I'm just as sweet.

This week, The Furry Bambinos will take turns reporting on some exciting events happening in our fambly. We will cover Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris’s wedding, as well as introduce you to some new furry members of our fambly.

Mommy’s fambly lives in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvanicat vicinity, so Aunt Patty’s wedding was held there. The bad news is that Mommy and Daddy had to leave us all alone while they were away. The good news is that Miss Deb, our favorite taker-carer visited and took great care of us!

Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris came to visit us in December, so we got to meet them personally! Both Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris are animal lovers, so we enjoyed their visit very much!

Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris’s wedding was on Friday, so there was a practice on Thursday. This is a picture of Mommy from the practice. Mommy had a funny title: Matron of Honor.

Mommy practices walking

This is a picture of Aunt Patty and Mommy pantomiming in the Church. You can see the priest (or padre, as I always say), Uncle Chris, and Peter, the Best Man (another funny title). Peter is Uncle Chris’s brother. Peter likes cats too!

Mommy pretends to hand something to Aunt Patty

This is a picture of Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris pretending to be just married. They are not really married yet in this picture. The trick to knowing this is that they are not all super dressed up in their fancy wedding clothes.

More rehearsing for Aunt Pattys wedding

After the practice at the Church, there was a “practice dinner” at a restaurant. I guess they must have needed practice eating, because there was going to be formal eating after the wedding on Friday.

There was a problem with the practice dinner. The original restaurant where the dinner was supposed to be held went out of business two days before the practice dinner. So Aunt Patty and Uncle Chris said lots of words on our bad words list. Then they found another place to hold the dinner instead, and it was even nicer! The new restaurant was on top of a mountain, so there was a great view! This is a picture of the view from inside the practice dinner restaurant. That is downtown Pittsburgh in the background.

And this is a picture of the view from the overlook next to the restaurant:

OK, that’s all for now! Meerkat will tell you more next time!

Sorry that we have not posted in awhile.  Mommy says something about her job keeping her very busy.  Sigh.  She really needs to get her priorities straight!

In the meantime, we have a new source of entertainment here: The DeLuxe Bird Feeder Station.  Mom and Dad bought it at the local Wild Birds Unlimited store. The real name of the bird feeder is the WBU Advanced Pole System. It’s really cool, and keeps us entertained for hours.  The right side has a regular feeder for tasty regular birds. On top is a nifty house that the squirrels have pretty much claimed as theirs. Check it out:

The left side has a special feeder for tasty yellow birds like this one. Mom says the bird is a Gold Finch.

And now that it is warm here in Northeast O-Hi-o, windows have been left open for our sniffing pleasure!  Here is a photo of all of us Bambinos sniffing a squirrel:

In other news, I have a confession to make.  I LOVE Mommy’s shoes and slippers!!  It’s a little embarrassing, but I just can’t help it, I LOVE to cuddle with her shoes and slippers.

Well, that’s all the Bambino News for now!

Today is our good friend Miss Tammy Faye’s birthday!  She is celebrating her 9th birthday!  Mom is good friends with Tammy Faye’s Mom, Miss Deb.  Miss Deb visits us and feeds us when our Mom and Dad are away.

This is a recent photo of Tammy Faye, taken in April at Passover.  Tammy’s human brother Tim took this photo.  We think that Tammy is a very pretty kitty.  Notice how Tammy is protecting her “baby” in this photo.

Tammy, we hope that you have a great birthday!  Mom took our birthday card that we all signed over to Tammy Faye’s house last night.  We hope you like it!

Love,

Padre, Panda Bear, Meerkat, Mom, and Dad

First of all, we want to apologize for not visiting everyone as often as we would like. Something about Mommy having new reespawnsa, new responsobul, new duties at work.  She has been furry furry busy lately, and has had less time to help us blog.  Even when she comes home from work, she has been doing stuff for her job WHEN SHE SHOULD BE HELPING US BLOG!  We hope that she will get back to normal soon!  We miss reading about how all of you are doing!

Second of all, we were recently tagged by Bear and Shadow to do the “Seven Useful Things” Meme!  We couldn’t decide who got to post this, so we decided Mom said we have to do this as a joint post.

Padre’s Useful Things That I Do to Help Mom and Dad:
1) I say “Bless You” whenever anyone sneezes.  Each time.  This is especially important to do if Mom or Dad is home, but the other one isn’t around to bless them.

2) I help Mom fall asleep at night by joining her on the bed.  Then when she’s good and drowsy, I sit by the door and ask her to be let out.

3) I often snoopervise when Dad scoops our poop boxes.

4) I greet Mom and Dad when they come home from “work” (whatever that is).

5) I inspect all shopping bags that come into the house.

6) I do daily Squirrel Patrol, Bird Patrol, and recently, Chipmunk Patrol. I spend most of the day looking out the big tall windows and keep an eye on the wildlife.

7) I like to purr whenever Mom or Dad comes near me.  It makes them feel very special to be loved by a Great Grey Kitty like me!

Panda Bear’s Useful Things:
1) I perform the very important role of Life Guard whenever Mom is in the human litter box room. Especially if she is in the rain maker thing. I push open the door of the human litter box room and check on her.

2) I help Dad keep the office just the way he likes it. If something unusual happens and the room starts to look too tidy, then I help restore it to its “natural state” (see photo below).

daddy

3) I help Mom eat breakfast. I finish the last of the milk in Mom’s cereal bowl for her.

4) I am a Big Help when Dad changes our poop boxes. I sniff all the materials, make sure that Dad cleans the empty boxes to my liking, and inspect the new litter immediately as it is placed into the box.  Occasionally, Dad is too slow, and I need to make a deposit before he is all done.

5) I say hello to Mom and Dad when they get home from wherever they go all day. I sit in the front window and meow at them. Once they come in the front door, I greet them at the door.

6) I am on regular Neighborhood Watch duty.  I sit at the front window and make sure that all is right with our world.

7) I am friendly and cuddly and lovable! I keep Mom and Dad entertained with my antics!  I am definitely the comic relief around here!

meerkat’s useful things:
1) i catch bugs, like moths and spiders. i deadify them so that mommy and daddy will be safe.

2) i help mommy when she is at the computer. i keep her company and roll around and help her type.

3) sometimes i snoopervise when dad scoops our poop boxes.

4) i am the head food taster here at casa cabán. when mommy or daddy is preparing our meals, i give the food a taste to make sure that it is acceptable.

5) most evenings, i am on mouse patrol to make sure that no mousies are in the house!

6) i do performance artwork on the furniture when my soft paws claw covers fall off.

7) i am friendly and cuddly! i like to flop down at mommy’s or daddy’s feet and ask them to pet me. it makes them smile and feel loved!

OK, now we need to tag some kitties to continue this Meme. We tag:

Kelly Cat, Lizzie, Caitie, and Nicky from It’s All Good

Parker, Powder, Puff, and Rudy from Perfectly Parker

We are pleased to announce our second movie!  Bambino Films has now released MY Catnip Bananer”.  It’s a thrilling adventure film that shows the chilling consequences of having one tempting catnip toy for three cats!

The stars of the film are us, The Furry Bambinos: Meerkat, Panda Bear, and me!  Grab your bag of Temptations and enjoy the show!

Kittens, you may need to shield your eyes at times. The film is rated PG (pretty good) because of some kitty-cat violence and fur flying.

if the movie doesn’t show above, click here to view the movie here instead

(The footage for this film was taken prior to Mom going out and getting us two more catnip bananers. The fight depicted in this movie was what convinced her that we are not so good at sharing.)

On behalf of The Furry Bambinos, I want to wish all of our Mommies and GrandMommies a wonderful day! Be sure to give your Human Mom lots of love today!

In honor of Mother’s Day, we thought we would post about our Mommy’s Mommy, AKA “Gramma”. This is a picture of Gramma sitting on her Quilt! This is the Quilt that Millie’s Mom made!

Gramma on Her Quilt

Isn’t this a cute picture? Doesn’t Gramma look adorable on her Quilt? Isn’t the Quilt that Millie’s Mom made bee-yoo-tifull? See this next photo for a close-up view:

Happy Mother’s Day, Gramma!

In other news, we each gave Mommy a Mother’s Day Card. And Daddy made cinnamon rolls with sticky icing for breakfast! We plan on spending the day snuggling with Mommy as much as possible!
